Verse Mapping Bible & Verse Mapping Journal Reviews

Before receiving the Bible Gateway Verse Mapping Bible (NIV) and Verse mapping journal, I didn’t know how to do Bible verse mapping. Here is a quick guide on how to use Bible verse mapping and a review of the products!

Kristy Cambron's definition of verse mapping is

"verse mapping is a method of studying the historical context, transliteration, translation, connotation, and theological framework of a verse (or section of verses) in the Bible."

I tried it for the first time using the NIV verse mapping Bible and journal. I made a video on Instagram to show how to use the journal & Bible. Click here to watch it!

Verse Mapping Journal by Kristy Cambron Review

This journal is amazing! It is perfect for you if you are a verse mapping beginner like me. The introductory pages were critical for me to read and understand what Bible verse mapping is and what it's all about. It has lots of examples and it walks you through how to verse map step by step, before releasing you into the journal pages that are clearly laid out and easy to use.

If you want to start Bible verse mapping and like having structured pages to remind you of what step is next, this is for you.

NIV Verse Mapping Bible

I honestly love all Thomas Nelson Bibles, they are high quality and beautifully made.

The NIV verse mapping Bible didn't disappoint. It has space in the margins to take notes and write out your insights, as well as more detailed pages similar to the journal. If you are more experienced in Bible verse mapping, you could use the journal without the Bible. If you are a Bible verse mapping beginner, I recommend getting the Bible as well.

The Bible includes the same format for Bible verse mapping as the journal, but it has already started some of the work for you by filling out the sections for the first three steps.

This is especially helpful if you aren't experienced, or don't have time to look up Greek/Hebrew words in a concordance.

When I began trying verse mapping, I used the Bible alongside the journal and they were really complimentary to each other. For me, I thought it was helpful to have someone already fill in some of the steps for you, especially the Greek and Hebrew words.

NIV Verse Mapping Bible for Girls

Finally, I also checked out the NIV verse mapping Bible for girls. I thought this Bible was so cute! The content is incredibly similar to the adult version, with the same layout and format for learning how to use verse mapping.

For younger women, this could be a really helpful tool to increase knowledge of the Bible, explore the true meaning of the Word, and learn to study the Word for herself. I think this Bible is incredibly empowering for young women, and it's also fun colors and easy to use.
